MARIANNE HURUM

Marianne Hurum’s (1978, Oslo) practice includes a variety of different medias such as painting, sculpture, photogram and jewlery. Her work is characterised by a formal and contextual in-depth research into the painterly medium paralleled with a playful and spontaneous approach to artistic creation. She holds an MFA from the Malmö Art Academy. She recently held solo exhibitions at Lillehammer Kunstmuseum, and Kunstnerforbundet, Oslo, and has participated in group exhibitions at institutions such as Astrup Fearnley Museet, Oslo, Kulturhuset Stockholm, The Stavanger Art Museum, 0-0 LA and Edvard Munchs studio. Her upcoming solo exhibition at ISCA Gallery begins August 19, 2021. Hurum lives and works in Oslo, Norway.
